Thomas Scott "Brillo" Ballard, age 56 of Loretto, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

He was born January 5, 1960 in Marion County. Scott was a dedicated employee of R. & B. Trucking of Loretto.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Nora Belle Ballard; one brother, Stanley Ballard; one sister, Margaret Newton.

Survivors include five sisters, Kathy Ballard of Leitchfield, Janet Cecil (Larry) of Dant Station, Gail Taylor (David) of Balltown, Ann Kilkelly (Ken) and Susan Hamilton (Bill) all of Bardstown; seven brothers, Wayne Ballard (Beverly) of Rineyville, Alan Ballard (Yvonne) of Forsyth, Georgia, Kurt Ballard (Jan) of Culvertown, Richard Ballard of Louisville, Robert Ballard (Sandy) of Lebanon, Brian Ballard (Sharon) of Loretto and Stan Ballard of Bardstown. He is also survived by many friends and especially Kyle and Olivia Edlin who were very special to him.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Interment will follow in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Saint Francis. The Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
