Sheila Renee Thompson, 57 of Paris, TN, formerly of Marion County, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Jackson-Madison General Hospital in Jackson, TN.  Sheila was born April 21, 1965 to Jim and Opal Thompson.

She loved God, her family and her cat, "Rascal".  She enjoyed reading, music, watching old TV shows, cooking, singing and spending time with her family.  She had a photographic memory and loved to play games.  Her smile lit up the room and was contagious.  She loved everyone and everyone loved her.  She was a member of Bradfordsville Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School and sang in the choir.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Carolyn Thompson and three brothers-in-law, Chuck Mattingly, Mike Ringley and Howard Mattingly.

Survivors include two brothers, Nick Thompson (Linda) of Raywick and Dan Thompson (Connie) of Hodgenville; four sisters, Lois Mattingly of Decatur, AL, Chery Mattingly of Bradfordsville, Elizabeth Ringley of Paris, TN and Sandy Peterson (Kenny) of Lebanon; her beloved nieces and nephews, Debi Hudgins, Lee Miller, Nicky Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Salem Thompson, Tina Thompson, Dana Fleming, Jennifer Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Eddie Nutt, Renee Nutt, Matt Mattingly, Jordan Cronin, Areille Ringley, Scott Myers, Katie Myers, Taylor Myers; 37 great nieces and great nephews and 14 great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews whom she loved so very much.

A Celebration of Sheila's life will be held at 5 pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Bro. John Simpson will officiate.  Cremation will follow.  The visitation begins and 3 pm on Friday.  The service will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page.
