Shirley Ann Cambron, age 83 of Manton, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Bardstown Health and Rehab Center. She was born March 16, 1941 in Saint Francis. She was a former employee of Walmart in Bardstown and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Manton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin "Sonny" Cambron; her parents, Joseph Adrian "Ado" and Mary Edith "Sis" Mattingly Simms; two sisters, Ruth Simms and Naomi Simms Mullins; one brother, William Robert Simms; three grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher Ballard and Alyssa Kelty.
Survivors include four children, Patricia Ballard of Bardstown, Lisa McCarter (Steve) of Sevierville, Tennessee, Charles Cambron, Jr. of Manton, and John Cambron (Michelle) of Springfield; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; five siblings, J.A. (Edna), Gerald (Polly), Joyce (John), Bonnie (David), and Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday, February 28, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 6964 Cissellville Road, Manton. Rev. Augustine Judd, O.P. will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The visitation is 4-8 pm Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm.
