Obituary
Sister Eloise Jarvis, age 91 of Nerinx, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.
She was born November 3, 1922 in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Dr. Henry Jarvis and Mary Wheatley. She entered religious life in 1943 and received her final vows in 1950. She was the former Dean of Music at Webster College in Webster Groves, Missouri. Locally, she taught music at Loretto High School in Louisville in 1951. She retired to the Loretto Motherhouse in 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx. Burial will follow in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Wake services are scheduled for 6:30 PM Sunday at the Loretto Motherhouse.
Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
