Obituary
Sister Mary Judith Brown SL, age 92 of Nerinx, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.
She was born October 30, 1922 in Elwood, Indiana to the late Harold Edwin and Marie Agnes Harris Brown. She entered religious life in 1943 and received her final vows in 1949. She earned her degree in Sociology from A. B. Loretto Heights College in Denver Colorado in 1953 and her Master's degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1963. Her assignments and ministries were located in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.
She bequeathed her body to the University Of Louisville Medical School. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx.
A memorial wake service will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday at the Loretto Motherhouse.
