Sister Veronica Marie Schneider, SL, formerly known as Sister Thomas Mary, age 91 of Nerinx, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.

She was born December 3, 1925 in Los Angeles, California to the late George Francis and Wilhelmina Reis Schneider. She entered religious life in 1943 and received her final vows August 15, 1949. She attended A.B. Loretto Heights College in Denver, majoring in Education. Her assignments were in Colorado, California, Texas, New Mexico and Missouri. She retired to the Loretto Motherhouse in 2002.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx. Interment will follow in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

A wake service will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday at the Motherhouse. Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
