Obituary
Sister Ann White aka Sister Ann Richard, age 88 of Nerinx, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.
She was born November 18, 1925 in Louisville to the late Leo James and Mary Sonefeld White, both from Michigan. She entered religious life in 1944 and received her final vows in 1950. She graduated from Webster College in Webster Groves, Missouri in 1952 where she majored in French. She received a Magisterii in Scientis Sacris from Regina Mundi in Rome, Italy. Her assignments and ministries were located in Missouri, Alabama, Colorado, Ohio and Switzerland. Locally, she taught at Loretto Junior College in Nerinx, KY in 1960 and she served as Administrator of the Dominican Sisters Motherhouse in Springfield, KY in 1999.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, Nerinx, with burial to follow in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
A wake service will be at 6 PM Friday at the Motherhouse.
Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
