Obituary
Francis Spalding Taylor, age 76 of Loretto, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.
Spalding was born June 11, 1939 in Washington County. He was a retired Dairy Farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia "Jeanie" Taylor; two sons, Frankie and Tony Tayor; his parents, Julian Patrick and Mary Catherine Spalding Taylor; one sister, Emma Jean Mattingly.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Stinnett (Mickey) of Elizabethtown, KY and Regina Lyvers (Robbie) of Loretto; two sons, Charles Kevin Taylor (Doris) of Lebanon and Travis Taylor of Loretto; five grandchildren, Logan Clark, Amber Taylor, Tucker Lyvers, Anthony Hagan and Theresa Lyvers; two sisters, Elizabeth Bradshaw of Springfield and Carolyn Horrell (Jim) of Louisville; a special cousin, Mary Mudd of Springfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto. The Rev. Emil Kander will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, KY 40037 with a prayer service at 7 PM by The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
