Obituary
Sister Frances Ratermann, aka Sister Mary Xavier, age 81 died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in Nerinx.
She was born April 28, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to the late Julius and Helen Longuemare Ratermann. She entered religious life in 1950. She earned a Masters Degree in Music from De Paul University in Chicago. Her teaching assignments were in St. Louis, Missouri; Denver, Colorado; Hong Kong, China and El Paso, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, Nerinx, with interment to follow in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held at 6:30 PM Sunday at the Motherhouse.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto, KY.
