Susan Lewis Mattingly, age 80 of Gravel Switch, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her home, with her family by her side.  She was born April 17, 1945 in Marion County.  She formerly worked at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Center.  She was a member of Gravel Switch Baptist Church.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Katherine McCubbin Chapman; one son-in-law, Andy Farmer; a grandson, Robert Daugherty; two great grandchildren, Alena Shipp and Brage Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Quincy "Booty" Mattingly, Sr.; five children, Jo Lynne Deering (Michael Caldwell) of Gravel Switch, Larry Quincy Mattingly, Jr. of Switzerland, Michael Scott Mattingly (Taylor Kelley) of Gravel Switch, Brandy Philbrick (Kenny) of Lebanon, and Jeremy Mattingly (Allison) of Campbellsville; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A special grandchild, Kiara Mattingly of Campbellsville; one brother, Johnny Chapman (Marcella) of Bardstown.

Funeral Services for Susan Lewis Mattingly will be held at 7 pm Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Pastor Stuart Benningfield will officiate.  Cremation will follow the service.

The visitation is 4-7 pm Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
