Teresa Jane Thomas, 68, of Raywick, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital following a battle with cancer. Born March 4, 1958, in Marion County, she was a retired employee of Curtis Maruyasu, where she dedicated 26 years of service. She also worked for many years at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. Teresa was a beloved wife, mother, and “Nana.” She will be remembered for her calming nature, her love of animals, and the devoted care she gave to her family. She was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Robert and Adeline Marie Wathan Hughes; her best friend, Kathy Cissell.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Steve Thomas; two children, Stephanie Walston (Brandon) of Gravel Switch and Jonathan Thomas (Bethany) of Calvary; four grandchildren, Noah Thomas, Brinley Thomas, Ivey Thomas, and Grant Walston; four siblings, Mary Edna Lee (Joey), Elmer Hughes (Eileen), Josephine “Jo” Hughes (Jim Caldwell), and Charles Dobie Hughes (Rita), all of Calvary; her beloved dog, Bailey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Very Reverend Scott J. Wimsett, V.F. will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation is 3-8 pm Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Chad Parrott, Joey Lee, Jr., Kody Hughes, Billy Joe Harmon Hager, Austin Hughes, and Scott Cissell.
