Obituary

Teresa Jo Thompson, age 43, of New Hope, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 due to an auto accident near New Hope.

She was born July 16, 1969 in Dwight, Illinois. She was an employee of the Loretto Motherhouse and a volunteer for the New Hope Food Bank and Community Center.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Martin L. Wilkerson and Rosie Lee Bush Campbell.

Survivors include her daughter, Courtney Cecil of New Hope, her special friend, Allen Mattingly of New Hope, two sisters, Lesa Leasor (Jim) of Elizabethtown, Vicki Graham (Popeye) of Hodgenville, one brother, David Wilkerson (Shirley) of New Hope and two half brothers, Phillip Wilkerson (Tessa) of Buffalo, KY and Johnny Campbell of Toledo, Illinois, her step-father, John Campbell of Georgia, her step-grandmother, Lottie Bush of Hodgenville, other extended family members include Carmel and Bernard Cecil of New Hope, Joanie Shoffner of New Haven, Francie and Chuck Cecil of Loretto, Sandy and Gary Riley of New Haven, Wendy, Mike, Jill, Jeremy, Wyatt, Kade, Olivia, Waylon and Trenton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, New Hope, followed by cremation. Rev. Ken Fortener will be the celebrant.

Visiting 11 AM till 8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 6 PM presided by the Sisters of Loretto.

Pallbearers are Chuck Cecil, Wyatt Cecil, Gary Riley, Jeremy Kyle, Mike Hall, Brent Mattingly and Kade Cecil.

Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Thompson, Mark Thompson, Bob Williamson, Jr., Bob Williamson, Sr., R.J. Mattingly and Scott Davis.
