Terry Lee Mayfield, Sr., 86 of Corbin, passed away September 18, 2024 after a brief illness.  He is survived by his longtime companion and caregiver, Blanche Woolum. Terry was born in Corbin to the late William and Dessie Evans Mayfield.  Also, preceding Terry in death are a brother, Paul Barton and three sisters, Maggie, Geraldine, and Sue Parker. Terry graduated from Shepherdsville High School and served in the United States Army. He was married to the late Marian Corbin Mayfield for 36 years and they are survived by two sons, Terry (Jewell) of San Angelo, TX and Kevin (Jennifer) of Bardstown; a granddaughter, Brittany Mayfield Ramsey; four great granddaughters.  Terry also leaves behind one surviving sister, Billie Nantz and many nieces and nephews. Terry worked as a truck driver for most of his life.  He drove for Smith Bros, Dallas Mavis & Holland trucking & he retired from the Teamsters Union. There will be no public service, per his wishes.  There will be a private ceremony to spread his ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please offer memorial donations toward an animal rescue group of your choice. Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
