Terry Lee Yates, Sr., age 64 of Loretto, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at his son's home in Gravel Switch.  He was born January 26, 1961 in Marion County.  Terry was a retired millwright supervisor for PIC out of Georgia.  He was a Baptist by faith.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Ann Yates who died February 15, 2024; his parents, Joseph Benedict and Susie Mae McCarty Yates; one nephew, Derrick Hutchins.

Survivors include three sons, Travis Thomas of Loretto, Terry Yates, Jr. (Amanda) of Gravel Switch, and Bradley Yates (Shelly) of Gravel Switch; ten grandchildren; five siblings, Ricky Yates of Campbellsville, William Yates (Carolyn) of Lebanon, Ronnie Yates of Florida, Robert Yates (Julie) of Lebanon, and Sissy Yates of Lebanon.

Funeral Services for Terry Lee Yates, Sr. will be held at 11 am Friday, April 18, 2025 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.  Interment will follow in Saint Francis of Assisi cemetery.

The visitation is 3-8 pm Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.

Pallbearers are Robert Morgeson, Scott Morgeson, Ricky Yates, Travis Yates, Daniel Hernandez, and Jace Thomas; Honorary Pallbearers are Eli Yates, Emmett Yates, Owen Yates, J.T. Yates, and Matthew Yates.
