Thelma Fogle Thompson, age 62 of Holy Cross, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
She was born November 6, 1953 in Marion County. She was a former employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear in Lebanon and Loretto Lumber and Hardware Company. She was a member of American Legion Post 121 Auxiliary in Bardstown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph George "Joe" and Rose Mary Thompson Fogle; one brother, Jimmy Fogle and one brother-in-law, Steve Fulk.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Charles Leroy Thompson, Jr.; two daughters, Dawn Caldwell (Mark) and Jill DeSpain (Scott) all of Loretto; four grandchildren, Rose and Reece Caldwell and Gavin and Quinn DeSpain; three sisters, Suzanne Fulk of Louisville, Phyllis Cambron (Stanley) and Cathy Gardner (Greg) all of Holy Cross; two brothers, Terry Fogle (Julita) of Dant Station and Jackie Fogle (Danna) of Holy Cross.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Emil Kander will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 6 PM by The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are Aaron Fogle, Ross Wright, Matt Cambron, Adam Gardner, Michael Fogle and Patrick Carrico. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hornback, Billy Taylor, Brian Medley, Jeff Thompson and Mark Thompson.
