Theresa Elaine Wathen, age 60 of Loretto, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Flaget Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.  She was born June 10, 1964 in Nelson County.  She worked at Curtis Maruyasu American in Lebanon with more than 20 years of employment.  She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Michael Wathen who died 2-11-2020; her father, William T. "Frank" Clark; her sister, Marian E. Higdon.

Survivors include her daughter, Cassidy Nalley (Sam) of Loretto; two grandchildren, Oaklyn and Treasie; three stepchildren, Mary Lee White (Dean) of Loretto, John T. Wathen (Treca) of Bardstown and Craig Wathen (Amber) of Lebanon; 10 step grandchildren; her mother, Lorene Peake Clark of Holy Cross; five sisters, Darlene Wideman (David) of Radcliff, Jane Dragoo (Jimmy), Cathy Fenwick (Mike), and Lola Ballard (Ralph), all of Bardstown and Roxanne Norris (Glenn) of Holy Cross; seven brothers, Frankie Clark (Rhonda Krauss) of Bardstown, Eddie Clark (Nancy Leigh) of Holy Cross, Charles Clark (Elaine) of Loretto, Johnny, Mark (Cathy), and Phillip Clark, all of Holy Cross, and Steve Clark of Saint Francis; one brother-in-law, Bob Higdon of Bardstown; many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto.  Rev. Richard Goodin will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation will be 3-8 pm Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
