Joseph Timothy "Tim" Medley, age 55 of Loretto, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born February 16, 1966, in Marion County. He was an employee of Curtis Maruyasu America, Inc. He was a former Loretto Firefighter and a Catholic by faith. His greatest passion was his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darryl and Martha Osbourne Medley and his grandson, Michael Robey.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Mattingly Medley; two daughters, Amanda Medley of Lebanon and Ashley Hedges (Dustin) of Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren; three stepchildren, Joey Robey of Saint Francis, Kelly Gardner (Kevin) of Raywick and Chris Robey (Megan) of Versailles; one sister, Tracy Masterson (Joe) of Loretto and one brother, Kevin Medley (Amanda) of Loretto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Rev. Richard Goodin will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayers service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant. The family asks that everyone wear a face covering and social distance inside the funeral home. The services will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page for those who cannot attend.

Pallbearers are Jerry "Frog" Thompson, Brian "Shiney" Thompson, Joseph Masterson, Eric Nally, Eddie Smith, Tom Robey, Jr., Cody Thomas and Sammy Medley; Honorary pallbearers are Randy Mattingly, Mike Kelty and all the grandchildren.
