Thomas Marion "Tommy" Blandford, age 79 of Raywick, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29, 1943 in Marion County. He operated the "Blandford Store" in Raywick for more than 60 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Marion County Cattlemen's Association. He formerly served on the ASCS board. He was a former Raywick Firefighter. He was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Tommy was preceded in death by one son, James Richard "Jamie" Blandford (died Jan. 26, 1988); his parents, Joseph Marion and Frances Marie Thompson Blandford; two brothers, John Polin "Johnny" Blandford and infant Joseph Richard Blandford.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Judy Thompson Blandford; three children, Joe Blandford (Sissy) of Raywick, Jennifer Courtwright (David) of Jessietown and Jill Abell (Stephen) of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one brother, "J.B." Blandford of Versailles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick. Rev. James W. Graf will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 pm Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road. Loretto, with a prayers service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant. The funeral and prayer service will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Thomas Abell, Michael Abell, Daniel Abell, Charlie Blandford, Brennan Blandford, Matthew Courtwright and Nic Courtwright; Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Sarah Abell and Mandy Courtwright.
