IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tootie
Wright
February 28, 1955 – December 15, 2021
Kathleen Clements "Tootie" Wright, age 66 of Lebanon, went to rest in her eternal home on December 15, 2021 in the presence of our Holy Lord and her close family. She was born February 28, 1955 in Marion County. She worked as a server with Henning's Restaurant for many years where she served the local public with pride and care. Tootie lost her best friend and daughter just over 2 months ago and she missed her daughter so very much. She was a mom that gave herself to her kids and grandkids selflessly and with all her heart. She came to know the Lord several years ago and that relationship grew over the years. She declared her life to Him fully and completely when she witnessed and experienced the fullness of His love throughout her late daughter's journey home. She often spoke of His goodness through her grief, and she stood tall each day knowing that He would honor the promise He made to her on the cross. Just before her last natural breath she shared with the nurse that she wanted to go home with Jesus. I believe in the last week of her life she found what had been missing for so long. And in what we would think was her weakest moment she truly began to live. Tootie was greeted in heaven by her daughter Geri May Hanlon and her father Irvin Abell Sr., her mother Geraldine Clements Abell and a host of other relatives and friends.
She will be greatly missed by those friends and family she leaves behind: Her daughter, Jackie Wright (Michael) of Lebanon; one son, James Wright (Amber) of Lexington; six grandchildren, Alli Mattingly (Ben), Nathan Hanlon, Taylor Wright, Maggie Wright and Nolan Wright all of Lebanon and Isabella Higdon of Lexington; two sisters, Sandy Maccaferri (Marco) of Louisville and Mary Jean Risinger of Lebanon; two brothers, Irvin Abell, Jr. and Jerry Abell, both of Lebanon. Many close friends that were most certainly considered family to her.
Funeral services will be held at 5 pm Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Cremation will follow the funeral and she will be laid to rest in the company of her daughter Geri May at the St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends and Relatives are invited to celebrate her life during the visitation from 12 – 5 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
