Obituary

Verna Mae Caldwell, age 89 of Lebanon, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Village of Lebanon nursing center.

She was born September 2, 1928 in Marion County to the late William Kelly Bradshaw Sr. and Callista McCauley Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ambrose Caldwell; one son, Ted Caldwell; one grandson, Joshua Caldwell; two sisters, Phyllis Likins and Maxine Nalley; two brothers, William Kelly Bradshaw, Jr. and Andrew Bradshaw.

Survivors include one daughter, Harriet O'Daniel (Doug) of Lebanon; one son, Brad Caldwell of Louisville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Judy Bland (Pat) of Lebanon, Norita Thompson and Janice Thompson (Donnie) all of Loretto, Faye Wilson of Lebanon, Rosemary Leake and Darnell Hardin (Jerry) all of Springfield and Wanda Culver of Bardstown; three brothers, Bobby Bradshaw of Springfield, Clayton Bradshaw of Lawrenceburg and Philip Bradshaw of Lebanon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, 235 South Spalding Avenue, Lebanon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Revs. Terry Bradshaw & Jack Caldwell will concelebrate.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home and 9 AM until 11 AM Monday at Saint Augustine Church.

A prayer service will be held at 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Sean O'Daniel, Nicholas O'Daniel, Neil Caldwell, Troy Bradshaw, Fred Spalding and Austin Spalding.
