Mary Wanda Williamson, age 69 of Loretto, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.  She was born October 5, 1953 in Nelson County.  She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Springfield Laundry and Highland Cleaners.  She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Willard Williamson and Catherine Louise Mattingly Williamson; three brothers, Gary, Richard and Johnny Williamson.

Survivors include two children, MaDonna J. Browning of Loretto and Joseph Anthony "Tony" Newton (Crystal) of Saint Francis; four grandchildren, Courtney Newton (Brandon O'Daniel), Taylor Newton, Aaron Newton and Hank Browning; two great grandchildren, Avery and Kinley O'Daniel; five siblings, Joe Williamson (Debbie) of Saint Francis, Sheila Garcia of Rock Falls, Illinois, Peggy O'Bryan (Benny) of New Hope, KY,  Lisa Mattingly of Loretto and Wayne Williamson of Sterling, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Pastor Neal Gordon will officiate.  Interment will follow in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Saint Francis, KY.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Hank Browning, Brandon O'Daniel, Aaron Newton, Devon Mattingly, David Mattingly and Charlie Williamson.
