He was a former driver for the Community Action Weatherization Program.
He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Living Church of God.

Private Graveside Services were held at 1 PM Friday, June 27, 2008 at the LaRue Family Cemetery - Raywick, KY
