William Irvin Burress, 84, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Bluegrass Assisted Living in Bardstown.  He was born August 24, 1941 in Marion County.  He was a retired employee of General Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eva Ellen Cox Burress; his stepfather, Burton Brooks and two sisters, Frances Abell and Mary Catherine Burress.

Survivors include his wife, Flo Burress; two children, Mindy Chesser (Bradley) of Bloomfield and Greg Burress (Patricia) of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Joann Brooks of Louisville, Janet Witherington (George) of Winterhaven, Florida.

Services will be private with inurnment in Saint Charles Cemetery.  Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
