William Alfred Drury

William Alfred Drury, 86, of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at his home with his family by his side. Born February 7, 1940 in Larue County, he formerly was employed with Gates Rubber Company in Elizabethtown. He was lifelong member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Drury who died January 29, 2024; his parents, Michael C. Drury, Sr. and Anna Priscilla “Cele” Bickett Drury Shoffner; three siblings, Donnie Shoffner, Pat “Horse” Shoffner, and Robert Benedict Drury; one infant great-granddaughter, Mabry Layne Helm.

Survivors include two children, Gary Drury of Hodgenville and Lisa Jewell of Raywick; two grandchildren, Meigan Helm (Dustin) of Hodgenville and Brandon Jewell of Lebanon; three great granddaughters, Raelee Jewell and Mallie and Maddie Helm; three siblings, Ann Campbell (Buddy) of Lebanon, Frances Simpson of Raywick, and Mike Drury (Shirley Hardin) of Campbellsville.

A Mass of Christian Burial for William Alfred Drury will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, June 4 , 2026, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick. Rev. Terry L. Bradshaw will officiate. Deacon Jim Cecil will assist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation is 9 am – 11:30 am Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
