Green Burial

Green burial is a way of caring for the dead with minimal environmental impact that aids in the conservation of natural resources, reduction of carbon emissions, protection of worker health, and the restoration ​and/or preservation of habitat. 

We offer Green Burial which includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer from place of death within a 60 miles radius to our facility, refrigeration of the remains, shrouding or dressing of the remains in clothing consistent with natural burial, and transfer to the place of burial. The total price is $1,985. 

While caskets are not required for green burial, we offer a Seagrass Casket that is suitable for green burial at a cost of $1,598. Alternatively, we offer a reusable casket that can be used merely for the transfer to the cemetery but not buried with the body and this would be at no added cost.



We offer a cemetery marker that meets the specifications of the Sisters of Loretto natural burial cemetery at a cost of $200.

Sometimes our funeral home will pay for items on your behalf and include them on the funeral bill for your convenience. Those items may include clergy gratuities, cemetery fees, florists, newspapers fees, or death certificate copies.
