Carolyn Mattingly is a wife, mother and grandmother and an essential partner in the business. Her "woman's touch" is evident throughout the funeral home. She loves the outdoors and thoroughly enjoys making things grow. One of her favorite hobbies is restoring the 200 year old Log Cabin next door to the funeral home.

Junie Mattingly

Joseph H. "Junie" Mattingly, Jr. is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and is the Funeral Home Owner. In addition to his more than 60 years of experience in the funeral business, he also formerly operated the Loretto Barber Shop and served five terms as Coroner. Junie and his wife, Carolyn raised six children and now have 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Junie continues to be closely involved with the funeral home. He has a keen interest in Cemetery Record keeping, as he personally mapped and indexed most of the local ones. He attends Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister. He is also a proud member of the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

R. Alan Mattingly

R. Alan Mattingly is a third generation Funeral Director and Embalmer and presently serves as the Funeral Home Manager. Alan is a native of Loretto and a 1981 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN. He served an apprenticeship with Pearson Funeral Home in Louisville and also worked for many years at Kentucky Mortuary Service and Milward Funeral Home in Lexington. Alan returned to Loretto to rejoin the family business in 1994. Alan and his wife Cyndi have two sons, Alex and Joseph. Alan enjoys community involvement and presently serves as the Marion County Coroner, Chairman of the West Marion Elementary School/Calvary Elementary School Family Resource Center advisory council and Treasurer of the non-profit Loretto Childcare Center. He attends Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Donna Mattingly is the oldest daughter of Junie and Carolyn Mattingly and a third generation associate of Mattingly Funeral Home. She is acquainted with all aspects of funeral service and is able to assist families with professionalism and compassion. Her focus is assisting families during visitations and funerals as well as live stream videography.
